A bit plain.

It's not a bad track, and it's not a bad 8-bit remix. I just think you could've added some more oomph to it. Just because it's 8-bit doesn't mean it has to sound flat.

You got the tune spot on, though. The bass feels a bit out of place, might want to replace that with another sample of sorts.

Quite nice quality

I don't really have anything to go on here, I have no idea who you're trying to sound like.

Mic quality is crisp, no problems there. You sound very confident, which is really a good trait for a voice actor trying to get noticed.

My only problem is that you don't sound like the most enthusiastic commentator here. Sure, you're full of energy, but I'm sure you could squeeze out a tad more enthusiasm about the game you're supposed to be commenting on.

Perhaps I could give it a shot and try this over some existing broadcasts for baseball, ice hockey or even basketball? I'm not sure I have the temperament to keep up with NHL speed for commentary, but it's worth a shot.

Very spacey

Absolutely a cool track. It really does fit the title, song is very open and gives off the impression of some mad space travel.

I'm not a huge trance fan, but that shouldn't influence my review in any way. You've done well in not making it repetitive, which is a problem for a lot of the trance I've heard here on YouTube. It's repetitive and unoriginal. THe song isn't the most original track I've heard, but it's def a breath of fresh air into the Audio Portal.

The synths are very classic trance synths, good quality. Could've done with some more rhythmics, though the main synth really does handle that pretty well on its own. Basslines are great.

ya i kinda forgot about the percussion in this xD. thx for the review

This is going into my house folder

Best track I've reviewed this week. I've become a huge House fan lately, and this hits my spot.

Everything in this song speaks to me. I love the synths used, great sound, rhythmics section is not too intrusive, the song is long, but doesn't drag on because it has just the amount of variation that a house song is supposed to have.

The buildup in the intro was also amazing, really prepares you for what's to come.

When a song is this good, my reviews are always short, because I can't come up with anything to comment other than how good it is.

I can finish up by saying that the intro was neat, putting a real great ending to a real great track.

Thank you! :D

A tad randomized

IT's a very professionally made track, without a doubt, but I personally find it to be a bit too varied at parts, like some of the parts of the song don't fit very well in with the others.

It is also quite difficult to follow the rhythm, as the rhythmics section is practically non-existant at parts or has very low volume. In other parts, it's very audible.

That said, the sound quality is great, and the synths are of great quality.

Only problem I have is with the somewhat random nature.

Random? I'll try my best to make sense in my next tune :)

thanks alot for the review, "It's a very professionally made track" made me smile like an idiot, so thanks :)

Intense, but relaxed

Not sure what to say, exactly, so the review wont be all that long.

I love the synths you've used, but I can't say I feel the song fits a fast-paced videogame. I don't really get a videogame feel from it. Doesn't make it bad, though. Maybe it could fit in a racing game.

Either way, that's not too interesting. I like the subtle bass, but I feel you could've given it a bit more attention and sound. Like in the outro, which I find awesome, by the way.

Thanks for the review. When I make my songs, I don't make them to fit into anything in particular. I try to leave that up to Flash Artists to find a use for them. I only find inspiration, create a song, and hope that people like it. I think that it would be awesome to have any of my songs put into a game or movie though! As for this song, I tried to make it easy to listen to so that people could just enjoy it. Although, I have been thinking of remixes lately so perhaps this song is a good candidate...? :) Again, thank you very much for the review!

And here I was thinking I didn't like Trance.

Wow, dude that was pretty damn amazing. I mean, I probably wouldn't be so surprised if I heard this on the radio, but among all the bad trance on Newgrounds, this one stands out. It deserves a lot more attention.

You're a master with those synths. I'm not gonna say they tell a story or anything, but they really drive the song forward with a light, somewhat cheerful tune. Very classic trance, while showing that there's room to explore further out.

Rhythm section is great. It doesn't change much, but it carries the synth very nicely throughout the entire song. Loving the samples you're using on the drums. Transitions are skillfully done, too.

I love how complete this track is. It's not amazing in one part, it's all-around great. All the different parts fit together just right.

Lastly, intro and outro both work very well. Lioness390 is lucky to have someone make such great tracks for her.

Omnivore responds:

Lol, thanks a ton! I tried my best to master this track, Ozone 4, built in limiters and EQ's... Man. I love classic Trance, like ATB, the original DJ Tiesto, all of them are very inspiring to me :)... The track "Don't stop" By ATB drove me to make this song.

Celts n cowboys?

This sounds very professionally made. Really reminds me of a piece my dad played back when he was in a brass band, called Cry of the Celts. At least the intro.

I like what you're trying to go for here, a hybrid between two cultures and historical eras. It's certainly interesting, and you do a lot of stuff right here.

The instruments sound crisp, very good sounds. Composition is also very good, transitions, harmonies, everything seems to fit.

Only thing I can complain about is the fact that the Cowboy part didn't shine through as much. That is, unless Medieval + Cowboy = Celt. The rhythm of the tunes are very reminiscent of celtic music, at least.

Tomppaah responds:

I actually started bringing the Medieval and Cowboys elements together towards the end of the project. :D When I started I was dead set on making a pure medieval track, but as with many of the projects I work with, the music kind of took on a life on its own. :)

Thank you immensely for your comment!

Reminds me of Zelda

This honestly gave me the chills. Absolutely loved it, and for some reason, it just reminded me of Zelda. Or Golden Sun. Not that it has a videogame feel over it.

It flows very well. Starts up simple, with a single flute playing a melody, until it gets backed up with more flutes. The melody keeps going through the song. I think my favorite point in the song is at 30 seconds or so, where the song takes a step up and you get a complete harmony.

I also really loved how the song reached a sort of climax a bit before 0.50, the buildup was just perfect considering how the song goes. I love the outro as well, it really dots the i for this song.

Would go really well in a concept album of sorts, it can easily tell a tale.

CheckeredZebra responds:

Your review has made me very encouraged x3

Video games in general (One of them being Zelda) are my inspiration, and some of those games have really beautiful tracks that I feel are underrated by most of the musical world. Well...aside from the niche they fall in, of course =P

Thank you very much for taking the time to hear my song and write this review, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Very powerful

I can't really find anything wrong with this track.

It's extremely powerful and well-made all throughout. It's got the bassline driving it forward all throughout, and where bass cuts off, the synths do a great job of keeping the track going. I love how the song really kicks in at about 0.30.

Fast-paced, excellent transitions, with just the right amount of variation to keep it interesting for three minutes. I'm not sure how danceable it is, but it fits a videogame very well, and I see it is a remix of a shooter. I'd rather imagine a bulletstorm kind of game, like Johnstown, though, but that's just me :>

Also kinda intrigued by how it slows down at the end before it cuts off. I don't know if I like it or not, but it is a nice way to end it.

sumguy720 responds:

I am thinking the same thing about the ending.
I mean, I kinda wanted it to keep going, but I couldn't think of any more variations or directions to take it. A general trend in all my music is that it just kinda ends.

Thanks so much for your compliments!

I like it when people call me bro.
