Somewhat relaxing

Has a nice beat to it and an overall atmospheric and relaxing feel. It does get somewhat repetitive though.

The ambient synths in the back really flesh out the piece and make it deeper and more calming, relaxing, which is somewhat what I believe you were going for. The synths you picked weren't too bad, but the sharper high-pitched synth somewhat ruined that atmospheric feel. The biggest issue with this track for me is the lack of variation. Lack of dynamics. You have some transitions that are pretty good and, a I mentioned, the beat is pretty steady and pushes the track forth.

Outro is good, a very nice finish to a track like this, but it feels like it didn't get to play out completely, like you'd cut off about two seconds. Intro had a nice buildup as well.

Heavy

Pretty good track, nice progression and a sick drop.

The production seem to be a bit off, though, getting some interference on the heavy wobbles which isn't very flattering to the track. I wouldn't say the intro is too long, just that the track itself can easily get a bit repetitive, particularly towards the intro.

You've really gone for a really heavy style, and I'm guessing it's sort of my fault that I don't have the proper speakers for something like this. I'm really getting a lot noise on the heavy wobbles and heavy bass synths. Might be mastering or might be my headset, but I got the same result with speakers and headset.

As mentioned, it's a bit repetitive, but it's a really heavy (maybe even too heavy?) and really nice dubstep track. Ending is pretty good, too, nicely ending a track like this.

That's weird, it sounds fine on my speakers. I guess I need to start listening to songs on several different sets of speakers/headphones to make sure it sounds fine on all of them.

Thanks for listening and enjoying our song!

Well

It's not the worst rendition I've heard of this theme, but it isn't exactly the best either.

For one, you've marked it as dubstep, but it lacks a lot of the dubstep elements I'd be looking for. It sounds more like some sort of industrialized , glitched dubstep than just plain dubstep. The melody has been done well, in my opinion, it has that feel of the original track towards the beginning, which turns into the more electronic version with piano and some synths that sound really good, also like the addition of the rhythmics here.

When the 'drop' comes, is where it becomes a bit messed up for me. At first it's not that bad, I like the bass synths, the wobble is pretty cool, but it quickly becomes a bit of a mess, with just too much going on at once, multiple synths/instruments playing the melody.

Not a bad attempt, but try layering it down a bit. An idea could also be to create a properly looped version of it.

Very well written

I think the best part of this track is the dynamics and the transitions + buildups. Overall a very well written and executed track.

You've got a really good intro to the track, it gives visions of what's to come further in and builds up greatly, with layered synths and great rhythmics to keep the track rolling on. There's a steady beat and the track never gets repetitive though it still is varied.

Your transitions are, as I mentioned, very well done, really bridges the different parts together well. Synths are pretty good though the main synth gets a bit annoying in the higher pitch. Ending isn't too bad, though a bit sudden, feels as if something's left unexplained.

Not bad

A really well executed track, my only issue being that I'm not too sure exactly what this track should bring out, what it is all about.

Towards the intro, for instance, and the first part of the song, it feels more like something out of a disaster movie. Somewhat sad music played during the aftermath of a huge disaster. It's got that eerie high pitched string melody in the back, before it suddenly shifts at about 0.47. From here on out the track is very different, and it could rather be from a fight/chase scene.

Anyway, your synths are good, but I'm not too sure about your rhythmics, it seems just a bit too random at times, though it does help bring th etrack forward. Like I said, the track just feels a bit random, though it is possible to find some sort of lead that goes through the entire track, the entire nature of it is so different from beginning to end, in my opinion.

Ehh

I don't really have much to say about this. Sure enough you could call it experimental, but it just isn't working out. It's very random, has no construction to it at all, and just seem like random voice samples that aren't of the best quality mixed with a buzzed synth and at points, some random rhythmics thrown in.

On top of that it is very repetitive, even though it is so short. It just doesn't seem like much work went into this, and the parts your synth suddenly stops just sound broken instead of adding anything to the track.

Fuzzy

Awww, only makes me think of something cute and fuzzy, I'm guessing that's something like what you were going for. This is the kind of track I'd love to hear in the back of a children's movie like Toy Story, filled with hope and joy.

The instruments are amazing, and the composition is as close to perfect as I can imagine them being. You show some really good dynamics in the intro with a great buildup to the track, only thing I can complain about is probably that it's short, and not a loop. As a loop it could be used in oh-so-many games in the puzzle category.

I listened to this multiple times. I think that says enough.

Whoa

I'm pretty amazed at this track, brings out intense fear as well as just an overall creepy feel, really goes well with the theme of the contest, and it definitely deserved a second.

I'm not sure exactly how to review this. I love the industrial sound of the whole track. The vocals really fit the track, and the lyrics are really well written, really creepy. I like that they got to dominate so much with little to interfere, that really brought out the creepy feel.

Intro was pretty good and freaked me out, reminds me of a carnival themed zombie flick I saw some months back, and the kids vocals was a really nice twist. The voice saying run had some interference to it, not sure if that was intentional. Ending was a bit abrupt, but not bad.

Just to let you know, Your reviews are always awesome :) I'm gonna reply to this properly in a bit ^_^

Edit: I'm back from holiday now ^_^
Well thanks, I'm happy that I got 2nd place :D I had a great time writing the lyrics for this. Lots of underlying hidden meaning in them too.

I'm glad that the intro freaked you out - that was my intention :P
The run bit was indeed filtered a little bit to make it sound less human, and the ending was made to convey a sense imminent danger lurking all around you, silently.

Messy

Not bad, but it really sounds far too messy, there's just too much going on, and the mastering hasn't been done very well.

I like the idea of using the strings, but they're not done very well. They phase the track a lot, which is never a good thing, and it feels like they're having trouble keeping up with the fast pace of the track itself. The guitar sounds good, and the rhythmics section isn't bad, though not very original.

Maybe hold back on the strings untill a bit later in the track, and pace them down a bit? They seem to be taking over the track entirely, and from what I've heard of similar tracks, that's not what you'd like.

Heavy hitter

Really interesting track you've got here. Truly lives up to its name.

The intro sounds a bit off with the beat at one point, not sure if that was intentional, but it sounds more like something's off.

The synths are really cool, especially the main bass synth that really brings the juice for the heavy hitting track. The melodic synth is pretty good too, but it is a bit repetitive.

You've got some issues with transitions, they feel a bit dragged out at time, in particular around 2.20, where it sounds like the track has stopped, before fading back in, which removes the flow of the track.

I like it when people call me bro.
