Vintage indeed

Pretty amazing piece right here. I love the vintage feel.

The conecpt itself is really cool. Could of course be seen as something symbolic, a mother loving her child in spite of it being different from others, but even if it's just being a surreal drawing, it's awesome.

The vintage look is so cool, the coloring you've done really brings that out, and it looks amazing. Lineart is really good as well, and the shading is pretty well done.

Thanks!

I like your interpretation.

There is some different interpretations, that's why I prefer let each person with their own. We find different meanings :-)

cheers

Haha

Reminds me of drawing moustaches on celebs in the magazines. Except this looks good, and stuff.

Looks like you scanned this or got the commercial of the net? Anyway, I love the idea and the pun. If that was intended or not, it was funny nonetheless. |

yofoodiefoodie responds:

haha that's just the point dude!
thanks. yeah, i scan ads and commercials from several magazines and add some "life" in it. i love this idea of what fruits and veggies could feel in this exact moment.
i love to put some smile in everything.

In bed?

That's an odd fantasy.

The lineart is very good, and the idea is somewhat... delicious. Made me realize I haven't had waffles in ages. I should make some.

I'd love to see this colored, though. I think it could turn out real good.

Kinsei responds:

you should have been there the time I had the erotic dream about construction equipment...
I may color this one day, but today is not that day

Do Donald Trump next =D

Quite possibly your best hair, yes. I also think those might be your best ears thus far.

It's not as good ast the little kid, but it's very good. The hair is much better than with your Thor rendering, looks less like strands of linen or something thrown on his hair. Liked how you made the hair look as well. His right eye seems somewhat off, and you could probably have added a mouth under his moustache, and even a torso to it.

Also, the background is very bland. The crown looks a bit too simple and actually looks a bit 2D. Would love to see a bit more shading and lighting in this picture as well. I really like the detail in the eyes.

thanks, maybe I will make mr.trump XD

Real improvement

I have to say, it's been pretty amazing seeing you improve over these last weeks.

This might be your best thus far, tied with King Jasper. It really looks good, you've got the shading worked out much better, and even though there is at least one corner on the top of his head, I really like what you did here.

The mouth also has that seam that I've seen in the other works of yours. The glasses are pretty well done, but I'm not sure why the right eye glass has the rim sticking out like that. Maybe you could've done something to make it look like there was actual glass in the glasses?

The background is simple, you could maybe have put him in a nursery or something like that, but I realize that that would be very time-consuming, if you were to make that in 3D as well.

You could also make the shirt look more prominent, right now it just sort of glides over into the skin. A proper collar that sticks out a bit further from the neck, maybe?

this was actually made far before super creep and after the adventure dude, but he still remains my favorite :)

Nice motiv

It's a very cool print for a hoodie, absolutely. Can't find much I'd like changed with it.

I like the idea of it. i'm not sure whether you want to make a statement back to the hippie days, against war, or if it's something else, but I do like the combination of flowers and guns. Always liked that :P

The gun seems to look just like the real thing, you know, apart from it being cartoony, and I really liked the font you've used.

The lighting seems to be a bit off, though, like there are multiple light sources, and you could've done with some better shading.

Thankyou very much for your input ^^ i'll do some cleaning up on the image and sort out the shading and lighting before i show it to the designer :) you've helped that one step further and for that, im grateful.
Secondly, im so glad you like it :) honestly, there was no motive or statement behind this picture ...... i was asked to produce an image as described and this is what flew from my mind. But its great to know that people are having such positive reactions to it :)
Thankyou again

Well-drawn

Should've done it on proper blank paper, as I feel the lines kind of ruin the experience here just a tad.

It looks really good. Anatomically speaking I'd say the face looks nice, everything is placed right. Hair is big, but looks good, lines are nicely drawn. Only issue I have other than the lines is that the eyes seem a bit off. Her right seems to be a lazy eye?

Bryony responds:

Yeah I'll probably do a proper one on plain paper. Her droopy eyes are part of the style, maybe I went too far.

Oh god

I can't say I've ever had that fantasy. Or anything even remotely reminiscent. God.

Really like your style for these cartoons. It's all a bit looser than regular strips, maybe due to the fact that you don't have squares? Uncertain.

Either way, the drawings tyle is really fitting for comedy comics. ANd I love the punchline in this one.

ToonHole responds:

Oh Soapbubble. We don't need to lie. Don't worry, I won't share with anyone

Quality?

The quality of the piece itself looks like it could use a bump up.

I'm kind of torn on this one. While I like the design of the character, I feel it's all a bit simple. The colors aren't anything special, and both shading and lighting seem a bit off. The abs are also way, way weird. Not very anatomical.

BUt as I said, I like the character design. Would like to see something in the background too.

KillstixCHix responds:

I'd like to see you do this shit.

Very nicely drawn

Hoping for your sake you had a model for this :>

I think you did a real good job with the tools you had. Anatomy seems pretty much correct, and you did great on the shading with the different types of gray color.

Her face does look a bit weird, though. Eyes are off, and mouth looks a bit thick and compressed.

rickygonza responds:

i know what you mean but you have to actually see why her face looks thinned out
because she is slightly turn to the left To face the camera which would make her face appear as it is.

I like it when people call me bro.
