Damn dude

THat's nasty. It looks awesome.

Loving the colors you've used here, and the lighting effects. Really makes the goo looks like goo, basically. Both the face and the hand looks pretty awesome. Loving it.

Awesome

Come to think of it, I need a new cap myself. That one looks awesome, wouldn't mind wearing that. Lucky guys at the office.

Whack

Actually thought this was some sort of clay sculpture at first glance. I guess that's a good thing.

3D art is pretty tricky to make, but I'd say you did a pretty good job on this one. It looks somewhat realistic, in that i looks like a clay sculpture. The dude really looks like a creep, your personal style really enhances that pretty well, so does your coloring.

Main issue is that there are still a couple too many sharp edges on this model. The lighting also looks somewhat unrealistic and unnatural. IF you can smoothen those out, you're in for a pretty good grade here.

yeah, I am still trying to figure out a way for the sharp edges to be gone, but the lighting is an easy fix :)

Some issues

I don't dislike the cartoony style you have, it's not bad at all and this could easily fit into an animation of sorts, but there are some major issues with the piece.

First off, the color quality. You need to play more with the colors. These are quite bland, and the quality of them are not very good. You can see lots of pixels in the picture, which should not be there at all in 3D styles like this.

The eyes are maybe the only thing about the actual art I really don't like. It looks like the man lacks eye lids. Eyes are bulging quite a lot, looks like they could simple roll out of the sockets at any time.

The quality of the picture in general is also problematic, considering the fact that I can easily see a lot of pixels.

But, as I said, I do enjoy the style, and I'm pretty sure that with some practice, you can get some really good-looking 3D models out there.

thanks soapy, this was made about a month ago, so i'm a little better now :)

if you check out my newest work the eyes look cool :)

Very cute, very simple

I don't think I'll be able to write a long detailed review on this, but I can at least write down what I think of it.

For a 3D Model, it doesn't look very 3D. I'm guessing you're using a very simple program?

The texture on the seal makes it look like paper mache. You might want to change that.

I do like the kawaii style of the seal, though. The oversized head compared to the body. It does look a tad sad for kawaii, though.

Shading too looks good, though the skin texture does make it look a tad weird. Not saying it should be completely smooth, just not as rough as it is.

Not really sure what else to say. These are just models, so it's not very easy to make out a detailed review.

It's cute tho :>

Asandir responds:

Yes, it is made with Sculptris, which is pretty easy to use.

Well, I wanted to make it look like a plushie with the texture, but it looks indeed more like paper mache.

Thank you for the review, it is a very good one!

Very neatly done

One of the better pieces I've seen on the art portal in a while. I particularly enjoy the lighting and shadow you've done, I must say it looks very professionally done.

The backstory is also quite helpful in reviewing it. It gives a setting for the man to be wearing the clothes he's wearing, and the look in his eyes, to me, they look deep, like that of a cleric. The colors you've used are nice, and I like the lines. Not sure what tools you've used, but I'm at least going to guess water colors.

There seems to be something odd with certain parts of his hair, almost like it's pixelated. Doesn't look like the brush of a pencil. I can see it where the hair meets his forehead as well. Might be a problem upon saving the image, the format or the upload, though I'm not sure.

I do think you could've spent just a tad more time working on this portrait, but it's absolutely a very well-made piece of artwork.

Pureely awesome.

I absolutely love it. The blood splatter, the absurd plot of the fictional movie, the use of dark and damp colours. Also gotta say I absolutely love the pun.

Earned it

Gotta say, you really earned that prize. This is absolutely the coolest poster of them all. It has it all. Colours, cool characters, and an awesome name.

Ominous

What an amazing piece. I usually don't like handing out 10's, but I can't find anything I don't like about this one.

It's a very dark piece, which I can really enjoy. It's not that there's a lot of black, but that the colours used are darkened. The lasers provide a contrast, which enhances the feeling of darkness. Shit is going down, absolutely.

You've coloured somewhat outside the edges, if you enlarge the piece. I can't really give you a plus nor a minus for this, because I can't decide whether I like it or not. The lines are smooth, nothing feels choppy or uneven.

I don't really see too many people here, though. There should be some running out on the streets, panicking. I get that this might've been a surprise attack, but seeing the havoc they've already done, people should be reacting.

Overall a great piece. It feels good, it looks professional. I love it.

Thanks so much for the great feedback, it's greatly appreciated. I'm starting to think that the chaos is the only thing missing for this to become an amazing piece instead of a great piece.

Far too dark

With such a full moon and lightning strikes, even a night would be pretty bright.

Unless it's an evil tornado of doom that sucks light, or a black hole hidden inside a tornado, I can't seem to figure out why it's so dark. Sure, it's late at night, and sure, it might be a winter month where it's extra dark at night, but you put in a full moon and a lightning strike, which should make it a very bright night.

Then again, the darkness makes the piece all the more eerie. And scary. The farm house seems to be well done. It looks somewhat glossy, for some reason, like it's shining. I can get that from rain, with the moon shining on it, but again with the darkness. Either way, I also like how you've shown the destruction of the farm house. It's not completely gone, but it soon enough will be.

The addition of the tractor on the right makes it even better, showing that it's a powerful tornado.

The ground looks a bit boring as well, somewhat unnatural.

If you were to tell me that the tornado also was... a black hole, I'd totally buy that.

MCarsten responds:

Well my only intention for the true darkness was for something really doomed, was not to be a realistic perfection of the nature. Also just a curiosity, tornadoes doesn't exist on winter, they are just only on fall and spring, just sometimes they show more early hehe. Thanks for the review!
