Amazing

Once in a while a track is made, that I just don't know how to review, because I can't find any flaws. This is one of them.

I'm seriously amazed at this. It sounds so clear, it sounds professionally made, it amazes me that this is the work of one man. All the different instruments and elements fit together perfectly, the mastering is just perfect, this is a display of true, pure talent.

This one is going into my favorites.

Dear God man, this is probably one of the nicest reviews I've received in ages, haha.

Thanks a million! I've always been quite happy how this submission turned out even though I rushed it since I had work to do at the time.

Thanks again :3.

Industrial

I think industrial is the genre you're looking for.

I like the deeper meaning to this track, I can easily hear it while listening to it. Love your use of vocal samples, and the dirty rhythmics with some nice synths. The ambient noises are also real good.

The eerie mood I get probably fits what you were going for. The track is a rather dirty one, which helps in delivering the message you want to bring forth. Really liked the ending too, but I expected a bit more to come after that last vocal sample.

SoulSecure responds:

Really, it's post industrial and that's why it's under misc.

Really, now? You thought there'd be more? Huh, I thought it was the perfect time to end it.

Thanks for the review!

Lacks variation

I really like some of the synths you used.

Some of these synths really gave me a disco feel, considering how huge a fan I am of the disco revival genre, that's a really good thing.

However, the track itself lacks some variation. It's very relaxed, chilled, but there could definitely be room for more variation. The rhythmics, for example, changed little, as did the melody of the synth, and that's myh main issue.

Thanks for the review! I've just realised how many times people have said my melodies lack variation, yet I never really listen. This is something I will definitely be looking out for in my future productions.

Pretty cool

I really like the synths you've used, but the track lacks composition.

It really sounds quite random now. I like the cheery feel it has, but nothing seems to be in order, and it all seems pretty random. There's no buildup, and I couldn't find a point in the track that it was working towards.

Would like to see some more bass in it, even cheerful tunes can do well with a little bass. I liked the later parts of the song, made it feel like the entire track was just a buildup to that moment. If you could've incorporated this earlier and made the track more varied, I'd be glad. Ending was a bit abrupt, too.

The-iMortal responds:

Thanks for the review. And yeah, the bass frequency needs to be boosted big time.

Interesting

Absolutely amazing intro.

I really liked your use of the accordion, and I wish you'd varied it a bit more and incorporated it more into the track. This sounds more like a WIP. It's very repetitive as is, but the beat and accordion combination is sweet!

I really liked the part at the one minute mark, but once it had finished, it all seemed to return to a very unvaried style with little variation.

Variation is my main issue, maybe some more backing synths to go with the accordion as well.

Decibel responds:

It's a pretty sexy intro.

Heh, thanks for the review mate ;)

Dancey

Not a bad track, definitely something I could hear playing on the dance floor, but there are some minor flaws to it, IMO.

First off, the synth, high-pitched and somewhat buzzed, that carries the melody for large parts of the track, is quite annoying, and a very overused synth, as far as I can remember. The melody itself is however just fine, no problems with that as far as I can tell.

Rhythmics are good, rapid, energetic, pushing the track forward and giving the progressive feel you'd want in a dance track of this nature. The composition is also pretty well done.

Overused?! Never!

I pretty much use like the same twe leads in all my songs. Well no, but it feels like it sometimes. I'll check into that and will try to tone that down a little, have it fill in sound space elsewhere. Thanks for the review!

Interesting

Honestly an interesting feel to it. The good thing about dry spells is that once they've been overcome, the next piece is pretty damn good. This being no exception.

Sure enough it has some DnB elements. I think what I like the most is your use of sound effects, like what I could make out as the sounds of an ocean (or just white noise) acting as a backup for the rest of the track.

The beats are real nice, done with some good samples, and the ambient synths you've used are also quite well done, really helps in fleshing out the track and create a special kind of atmosphere, which I'm sure is what you were going for.

The intro was really good, nice buildup and a spoiler into what was to come, and the outro was pretty decent as well, not a normal way to end a song, but a really good one for this particular track and/or genre.

Thanks for the review! I guess dry spells are good for something. I must have started and scrapped like 6 projects before getting this one rolling. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it - thanks for listening!

Great samples

Very nicely made piece, with some absolutely crisp samples, and really quite the epic feel to it. Could easily tell a story.

By epic, I mean of course that this is quite the grand, majestic piece, just with the backing guitar and piano playing an absolutely beautiful melodic line. The composition on this piece is really good, and everything fits very well together, with the bass instruments backing up the main melodic samples.

The rhythmics section is a bit lacking, would love to hear even more use of percussion, and the outro is honestly not the best I've heard, might want to see if you could do some work on that.

Thanks for the review! Soapy bubble. What does everyone mean when they say "Samples"?

Minimalistic-esque

Pretty impressive and definitely an original track. A tad repetitive, though, which ruins it a bit for me.

The issue a lot of people probably will have with this track is that it's one of the more minimalistic dubstep tracks, with a simple drop and laidback wubs. Laidback and slowed down dubstep is, IMO, the best kind of dubstep. instead of getting that intense and "dirty" track, you'll get something that is easier on the ear. You can see from the score of this track that people don't like it when people make dubstep that isn't "FUCKING DIRTY MANG".

It's original in that it's something you wont hear too often. The mastering is pretty well done as well, production quality seems pretty solid and almost at a professional level, though the drop could've had some changes done to it, the bassline at least.

Samples are pretty good, and I feel they fit well with the feel of the track. Outro is a bit simple and dull, though, and the track does get quite repetitive, which is pretty annoying, considering the fact that the track is so short.

Ah the score got 0 bombed. which looks horrible. Thank you!

I like it when people call me bro.
