Nice start to a series

Silly humor and simple animations, a nice start with big potential.

I like your style on this one. Very simple, cartoony, and with a touch of silly humor. That combination is, in my opinion, quite promising to a show like this.

The graphics are simple, not a lot of detail and little to no shading. However, with a style like that, it's probably what's best.

The audio isn't the best. The SFX is pretty good, but the voice actors lack enthusiasm, and the microphones aren't the best. Could probably do some more lip syncing too, as it's not the best right now.

When it comes to story, I can see how this'll work out. Can get into quite a lot of funny adventures with these four. Always been a fan of silly animations with silly humor. In this particular one, I really like how you executed it, especially with regards to the punchline. I'm expecting to see the characters develop as you go along, too, which is always important. Which one's the leader, the stupid one, the funny one, etc etc.

It's simple but also probably the most complicated animation I've done to date, since I experimented with drawing out each frame, then tracing over the images in flash. I'll work on the voice acting, but I'm glad you liked it overall.

Interesting style

What is this, 16-bit?

Either way, I'm really interested in your style. It's a form if pixelated animation that I can't say I've seen on NG before, and it's really well done and executed. I like how you put the lyrics for the song, which by the way is really funny, at the bottom. It's not too invading, rather just right.

The audio quality is also quite crisp. Impressed by this in general.

Stunning

I'm not saying this is tunning just because of the music, which gives me chills whenever I listen to it. The National is awesome. But this flash wouldn't be the same without your talent.

I've never thought of Portal as a very emotional game, it's rather a funny game. This shows some of what we don't get to see of Portal. The stop-motion style you've used fit so well. Alongside the music it really tells a touching story. The motions are smooth, and the work you did in after-effects was really good.

Whaaaa?

Though it's not on par with Arfenhouse, this is close to being some of the most random flash I've seen on NG. I'm liking it.

Thing with these random flash movies is that they often suck. Badly. And they're absolutely not funny, filled to the brink with memes and stupid jokes. I personally had a good laugh from this flash.

The style is fairly simple, little to no depth with regards to shading and lighting, though I see some. The animation, same goes for it, it's fairly simple. Entire flash has a real cartoony feel to it, which goes well with the random nature of the movie.

Issue for me was that the audio wasn't the best. The voice acting itself was good, but it sounds like the audio quality wasn't the best, with some noise at times. I think you might've cranked the volume on the voices a bit too high.

Wow

I am truly so impressed with this piece. I mean, this isn't Clock Day Flash, yet it is.

The graphics are really, really cool. For the background and the clocks, it has this somewhat cartoony feel to it, and you've also added some depths with lighting and coloring.

The animations are very fluid, looks absolutely amazing, very smooth, never choppy.

And of course, the story is just amazing to me. Tells a really long, detailed story of Strawberry Clock running from death, somewhat symbolic of the Clock Crew's early day, with them evading death from the admins and becoming such an important part of the website.

I certainly don't think this would be the same without the music you've used, I'd think it'd be very different, and certainly not as dramatic, the music itself adding so much to the feel and atmosphere of the flash.

Great work on this.

Not bad

Does it not lie in the spirit of Clock Day to half-ass something a week/day before the Day is upon us?

Anyway, this is a pretty decent flash. Amazing flash if you compare it to most Clock Day flashes out there. I actually tried to write something during the command prompt at the start, not really sure how that related to the movie apart from telling what's going on.

The animation is smooth and graphics are very standard Clock Crew, not much depth or detail, with the simple clock faces. I liked that you put quite a lot of work into the background as RobClock walked down the hallway.

The music is VERY loud, which annoyed me, and hence, the screech at the end didn't really startle me, just annoyed me. Okay punchline to end the flash on.

The thing with the audio is that my computer had to be reformatted, right? So i lost alot of files, including all my music. I had the song in flash, but it can't be exported to be edited, so I had to make due with what i had. :(

Neaters

I'm quite impressed, that in the ocean of shitty flashes submitted on Clock Day every year, there's something clever and funny like this.

Your style is quite simple, not the generic standard clocks, but these seem to be drawn just for this flash. The animations are smooth and nice. I do think that this flash is funnier to those that get the references to Star Trek.

The music you used was obviously enough perfect for the flash. I love the self irony used, don't get that too often from any crew. Really enjoyed your way of telling the story of Clock Day through this flash.

CorpseGrinderClock responds:

Actually the style is based on the old clock .flas made originally by OrangeClock (I think) back in 2001. The line tool and slightly abusive gradient is a feature of the limitations of flash back in that time making it harder to use gradients effectively as today.

Nice idea

Not a bad flash, and certainly good by clock day standards, but I'm reviewing it as standalone.

The first part of the movie was largely just a bunch of tweens, which were fine, but looked unnatural, and a good amount of regular pictures that were cut and cropped to fit the story. I liked the idea, pretty clever, and I see how some work was put into making this.

Choice of music is nice, and the audio quality is pretty good, though not the best, probably due to compression.

The second part, I find a lot more impressive. The graphics are way better done on this part, and it has this sentimental feel to it, again, I really like the idea you've acted out on.

Not bad

Animations and graphics are pretty neat, but I don't really see how this has anything to do with Clock Day 2011, other than the fact that the birds have clocks for eyes, and the flash ends in "Happy clock day!!!"

Still made me giggle juuuust a bit. Never thought of it like that :>

Meh

Close to no effort whatsoever. I guess that's what goes into a regular boring CD flash. Makes me all the more pissed that I missed the day entirely :<

I like it when people call me bro.
