Makes me happy

===============
Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Makes me happy
Review: Well, this must be the happiest tune I've heard all day!

I really liked the simplicity of it. But that is also part of what pulls the score down. Drums for example are way too simple to be so prominent. They are overpowering the melody, and there are few different drums in it, few samples, so you should probably make sure that the two are better balanced.

I wouldn't like the instruments you've been using in a normal case, but they fit perfectly here. The melody is great, but possibly a little repetitive as the song goes on. Great loop, if you cut one or two seconds off the end ;)

Work a little on the rhythm, beats, and try to add some diversity.

I swear I heard some melodies from The Kooks in there. I've been listening too much to them lately.
Oh, and take this 5/5. Damn 0-bombers.

Thanks! I really wanted some emotion going on, and all.

Also lol, I don't listen to the Kooks

Sad, well made.

Score: 10 / 10
Summary: Sad, well made.
Review: I have absolutely no complaints on this track. It reminds me of some Golden Sun cutscenes, the sad ones, it would fit right into one of those scenes!

I love the instruments you've used, and the melody is just diverse enough to not be repetitive. It's smooth and sothing, sad and filled with hope. You should try to add some oother isntruments, like a piano or something of the like. I hear the background, but something t accompany the main theme.

well thanks I was thinking about arranging it to make more of a main theme like make this a variation of a main theme for a game you know what i mean im thinking about making it bigger for that but keep this the way it is for game over thanks for the review

Looking forward to the finished product

Review: This sounds absolutely great, even though it's clearly a WiP.

I love the slow, soothing intro. Builds up to the song. I think the drums are a little overpowering towards the piano, you should try to even those two out. Add some baseline, and more drum samples. Vary it a little, mix it up.

Looking forward to see a finished product! If it sounds awesome now, I can't wait to hear it once it's done!

ReaperTechno responds:

Drums have been reduced slightly and piano and bass have been increased, thanks for the tip

Great potential

Review: Man, this is just my cup of tea. The only thing I can complain on is how the vocals are way overpowered. Or, I guess it's called overamplified. They take control and push the instruments out, which isn't very good. Fix that, and you've got yourself something I'd defo download.

Also, loving the V for Vendetta intro.

Ok thanks for the review. I'll probably redo the vocals when I get a better mic.

Some sort of fetish?

===============
Score: 3 / 10
Summary: Some sort of fetish?
Review: Noise must be a fetish, because I can't understand this.

I'm probably not qualified to review this, as I don't see what's good about this piece.

At first, it just sounded surreal, ambient. I could like that. When the noise started, I had to turn down my volume. It sounded like bad quality screeches, which, I guess, is what it's supposed to sound like.

The only points I can give, are two for effort, and one for doing something different. It's not the same all throughout, and it's long, and as you said, experimental, so I guess it's worth something.

By your line of reasoning any type of music you subjectively dislike would be considered a fetish. Albeit some more perplexing then others I guess. Unless you are implying that I get off to noise music.

Composition? Perfect

Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Composition? Perfect
Review: Tell you what. When you record this with a saxophone and get rid of that hideous MIDI, I'll 10/10 it, 5/5 it and add it to favorites.

No, I don't really like classical music, but this is great music. The "saxophone" go great with the piano. Harmonize perfectly together. The composition is well structured, and it's a soothing piece, something my dad can agree with. He was standing behind me when I listened to it.

I read Coop83's review, and I agree, this would slide easily into an 80s crime series.

The volume of the sax and piano doesn't go very well, though. Sax is a prominent instrument, so make sure it doesn't kill out the other instruments, if you want them all in.

A great piece. Looking forward to more from ya!

Awesome remix

Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Well done, but short
Review: THis is a masterpiece. So I'll be reviewing it as I get along.

What a beautiful intro. Slow, beautiful melody, beautiful piano. Relaxing. The sound that came in after a while, to accompany the piano, also sounded great.

Then come the drums. And the guitar. Wow. I'm absolutely amazed. I can almost ignore the fact that some notes are a little off. BUt it really burns my ear to hear it, you should try to fix that. The drums are really soft for heavy metal, though.

Outro sounds great, and there's a great ending to a great song.

Seeing as this is a Terminator-song, I think you should shorten the intro and go with heavier drums, and a guitar, that you should make sure is tuned right. I got the terminator feel, but the piano kinda ruined it, no matter how awesome and beautiful it was.

OK I'll try to fix the intro and the mixing problems.

Slightly repetitive

===============
Score: 7 / 10
Summary: Slightly repetitive
Review: I really love the futuristic and dark feel that the song gives me. The rhythm is great, simple, but great, and if by CnC you mean Command & Conquer, then yes, I can hear the resemblance.

One thing I do have to complain about is the repetitiveness of the song. The kick, for instance, never seem to change, which you should do something about. The intro is too long, but when the song really started, I really loved how it all sounded. The different melodies, the huge diversity just in this one song, it's great. The transitions were smooth and sounded great.

Try to fix the repetitiveness, and the ending didn't really cut it for me. Should go out with something better, after that good a song.

Keep advertising

Score: 6 / 10
Summary: Keep advertising
Review: I don't really know how hard it is to get noticed on NG, mainly because I'm not known, and I've never tried to be known. But I'm guessing it's pretty hard.

Most of what needs to be said already has been said. The tips on where to go (Forums, your one-stop for advertising your voice) are all down there. I can however say that I like your accent. I see you're not originally american, so that gives you a special accent to your voice, which would do just great in any movie.

Good luck!

Yes the accent...I still don't know how to label it...ah hell, who needs a abel, right?

Unless it's Jack Daniels...or Smirnoff :P

Great voices

===============
Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Great voices
Review: This sure is a great demoreel. Lots of great voices, and heck, you even squeezed in the funnies.

I could've sworn that the Mario voice was a rip from a game, because it sounds so great, and so much like the real thing. Might just be me being inexperienced with Mario's voice, but that doesn't make it any worse.

I could complain on how some voices were really loud, while others I had to crank up the volume to hear. But that's picking. There were some voices that didn't fit completely with what they were saying, too.

Overall, great voices that could be pulled directly from a great flash. Expect to see you doing quite some work in the future.

Sairex responds:

Thanks for the review, feedback is always appreciated.

After listening to it again and reading all of the reviews I am starting to think that the Mario voice was the best...heh and I put it in there just for laughs at the beggining :D

Thanks again and I hope to get to do some work soon.

I like it when people call me bro.
