Certainly original

===============
Score: 7 / 10
Summary: Certainly original
Review: This is a nice track. It's repetitive, even though it's short.

The fact that it's repetitive and short makes it sound half-assed, which is a really bad thing. You should edit the bg music and rhythms, and make sure you can hear the guitar well, because at some times it was overpowered by the bg.

Still, the biggest sinner is the repetitiveness. It really makes the song boring, even though the mellow and relaxing sound really is something I'd love.

Half assed is right i literally spent 5 minutes on this from start to finish was just something i done for fun and to do something a bit different than the other things id put up

it was more just an experiment of the tone and delay effect really but thanks for the review on it :D

Sloppy at times, but great improv

===============
Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Sloppy at times, but great improv
Review: The second half did really get a lot more sloppy than the first, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good.

It really was a good track, even though you say you used a bad cable, which would explain the static at points. I still think that there are some notes that are a little off.

Reviewing improvs are really hard, as they don't go like regular songs. They usually don't have much structure, and they're, well, improvised, meaning they're not thoroughly planned.

I'm surprised at some of the melodies, one at about 1:30, I think, sounded pretty much flawless.

8/10 not bad at all thank you very much :D

sloppy at times - yeah it is a bit sloppy alright i agree but hopefully i will improve on these and be better at picking out the right notes and melodys guess its just practise i need but dont get too much of that atm

i appreciate that it can be hard to review an improv lead guitar but on this track i also done the backing myself too tho :D

thanks for the review :D

Great lyrics, great song.

===============
Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Great lyrics, great song.
Review: There is only one thing keeping you from a 10/10 here.

Songs on NG with vocals usually fail badly, but this was not half-bad. Which is that little thing keeping you from the 10/10. The talking in the beginning and at transitions in the song sounds great. I really liked it, and it fit well. Especially with the words being uttered.

The singing voice, however, sounded half-assed. Add some emotion, and make sure it isn't overpowered. I could barely hear it.

Rhythm, melody, both great, and I don't really get the feeling that they're repetitive either, so good job with that.

Jirohbomb responds:

Damn Garageband always messes up vocals in songs, so that unfortunately I can't fix. Also cheap mics sometimes don't pick up emotion, so that is also I can't fix. And I didn't know that vocal songs on NG fail pretty badly, maybe I just listen to too many instrumentals.

Not bad for a first.

Review: Really, it's impressive that this is your first try at FL. I could never have done it.

However, it gets really repetitive. The sounds, samples, everything sounds great, but it gets really repetitive. The rhythm is awesome, but it loops too much. Same with the melody.
This can be easily solved by adding some vocals. That would really do wonders for this song.

Add some variation, and vocals, and you've got a 10/10.
Keep the ending. That was great, awesome strings.

Jirohbomb responds:

Yes for my first try it was pretty good. I know it gets repetitive, and I will fix that when I get the chance. I am trying to write lyrics for this, so be on the look out for that.

Great mixing

===============
Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Great mixing
Review: Well, I've seen Windows-songs before, but they only utilized sounds from Windows, nothing else. I like how you both used, mixed and edited the sound of windows-sounds, as well as adding rhythms to it.

What I could wish for was more sounds. From windows, that is. Try to incorporate a few more.

Other than that, I like it. Not too long, it even loops pretty good, and... I forgot the last thing I was going to write.

Step responds:

Great mixing... To tell you the truth, I didn't even use the mixer over here XD. But I did edit each sound with CoolRecordEditPro (amplifying, removing static, etc.).
About different Windows sounds, I used 14... how many more would you want lol O_o. I tried to use all of the cool sounding ones, but there are a few more left like the start effect, the ringout and ringin, etc... I just didn't use them since they sound ugly :P.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the song. Probably the last thing you were going to write was 'you rock at making windows songs, keep up the awesome work'; don't worry, I understand :P. Thanks again ^^.

Not the best, but certainly not bad.

Score: 7 / 10
Summary: Not the best, but certainly not bad.
Review: It's original, and well varied, but it just doesn't do it for me.

First off, the drum sample sounds nasty. I'm not sure what it is, but I don't like it. The rhythms are good, and the whole song is very varied, to the point that I had no idea it was looping.

When I became aware of it, however, I just found it too long. Six minutes of jungle rhythms is a lot. It can be cut with at least one minute, even more.

What COULD improve this would be some sort of tribal voicing. Tribal songs, tribal screams, anything like that. Would add to the jungle-feel.

Step responds:

Hmm... well I can't really find any good drum samples; they're the best I've got, and they're not professional or anything, so yeah, they'll probably sound bad. I should shorten it too, I guess, and I'll try and find some tribal voices when I get the time. Thanks for the informative review, I'm thinking of making a V2 of this now...

Nice track, but repetitive.

===============
Score: 8 / 10
Summary: Nice track, but repetitive.
Review: I heard it loop three times without really noticing it, but after those three times, I was really, really tired of the same drums and the repetitive guitar.

The beat was catchy, I admit that, but it was too repetitive, pretty much the same thing playing over and over. The beat wasn't changed much, but the guitar changed enough to keep it un-repetitive for the first loop.

I liked the ending and intro, a nice build-up, but the ending was honestly a little too sudden.

Interesting

===============
Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Interesting
Review: An all-around well-made track.

Though it is annoying with the voice interrupting the track, I can't pull you down for that. You might wanna move it to the beginning or something, though. That way, it wouldn't completely stop the song, before letting it carrying on.

It's an original track, I can't say I've heard a lot like this before. I loved the bass sound, combined with a catchy beat.

I could wish for some more melody. I know its DnB, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be melody. Wouldn't mind some more variation, either.

Flawless cover

===============
Score: 10 / 10
Summary: Flawless cover
Review: This is a great cover.

Few people on NG pull of this kind of singing technique, and they usually force it way too much, but this sounded great, you really pulled it off. I think the EQ was done well, nothing overpowers anything here.

Instruments, flawless. Really, I can't find anything I didn't like. Great drums, great guitar, just great. I haven't heard the original, but the instruments were played well, and it was mixed well, and... Wow.

I agree with you about the growling/vox.I think Twilight pulls it off nicely.And I do appreciate your compliments on my EQ'ing.For the most part, I don't really know what I'm doing.lol.

Thanks for the review.

Badass!

===============
Score: 9 / 10
Summary: Badass!
Review: Hey, guess what! I don't like hardstyle!

But I'm still smart enough not to judge a piece by the genre it is. This is awesome.

The intro, the very first seconds, were boring, but god damn did you convince me that this was not just another Hard Dance Mania-track. This was great. It's dark, it's badass, and it's awesome. It's got great rhythms, and it really isn't repetitive. Great usage of a voice, as well.
