Hmmm

You sure there's no message here? It could easily be some message about the consumer society or the image of a perfect body the media feeds us.

Oh well, I really like your style. It's really grimy, really dirty, and quite ugly. Your use of black and green really emphasizes that, and the hideous character with the feet and hands, looking like some reptile.

Well drawn

I like your style and your rendition of Mystique. Without a doubt one of the most annoying and coolest characters of the series.

The coloring you did is great, especially including the shading. I really like that you added texture to her skin, making he look less bland. The scales too look very good.

I could ask for a background to go with it as well. Her left eye looks a bit off and her hair seems unrealistic.

Clever

Come to think of it, it's weird how they didn't use cell phones. I guess they're not necessary in the world of HP.

Anyway, the comic has a simple set up and a simple, funny punchline. Very clever. The art is very simple, it delivers the message, but it's quite unrefined.

The coloring is quite bland and there's not really any shading done. You should also really work on hands, as these look very off and quite simple.

Original

Quit eoriginal concept art for these.

I'd say it all seems a bit rushed and not very planned, though. The monsters look real good and original, which is good, I like how some seem like hybrids between creatures we know of. The top right looks very odd, the lighting I'm not too sure of, and the background is quite abstract, I'm not sure what's going on there.

The background on the bottom two looks really cool

Looks a bit like a sketch at times, some lines that could be removed. The shading is pretty well done on all of them apart from the top right one.

Nicely drawn

I don't know this character, just FYI.

The lineart is pretty good. I'm not sure I like the lines around the hair, though, makes it look unrealistic. Her hands are folded behind her back, I guess, but it looks odd how they just disappear. The colorign and shading is pretty well done, but it's really hard to find out where the lightsource is located.

The nos looks quite odd, rather large, and the shading makes it look like she has a moustache.

thanks for the review mate is well taken i love the reviews from human beings not from chipanzez whit internet connections

Damn

I like the idea of this picture. Mindless honeyzombies of sorts?

I like your style. Coloring on this one's pretty good. I especially like the shading around the eyes, brings out the idea that they're mindless. There could probably be a bit more shading on the characters though. It's nighttime, so there has to be a lightsource nearby, right?

Like how you did the lines and folds in the clothes. THat's nice attention to detail. Same goes for the ripples in the water.

TheAmused responds:

Haha, yes honeyzombies. They will feast upon your honeyhair.

Thank you, and yeah I did need to add more shading.

Not bad

Not a bad piece at all. Too bad the scanner mesed it up.

Your lineart is pretty good, though there are some parts tha look a bit off. Her hands for instance, dont really appear to ahve wrists. THen again, I always found it hard to review space art because of the anatomical differences.

The coloring is good, but a bit sharp. there's not much gradient and not much texture apart from the strokes. Shading is minimal, and you should've focused more on that, a gradient shading and some lighting.

The background looks good, brings the focus on the character but fills the void and makes it less empty.

LittleNerdGirl responds:

Thank you for the rating and the tips! I agree, after inking and coloring (which is always when you notice mistakes, right!) I was like "Oh crap.." But what can you do by then? Just hold your head up high and be proud what came out. I am upset still the scanner really messed it up, it seems it doesn't like picking up the water colors well, and with the shading I agree. I need to by some Water painting paper, I just use what I have at the moment, not the best for water painting. This paper better for pencils and marker. I always liked my line work, ALWAYS! I think thats what I am best at, I just need to hire a painter or someone to color it in for me heh. But again, thank you for the lovely comment and review :3

Amazing

Best piece I've seen thus far today.

I would've been a huge DK fan if I had a console to play it on back in the day, but I could only ever play it at friends' place. ANd I loved. I really remember stages that looked like this.

You did amazing on this. The attention to detail, the textures on the surfaces, and the shading, wow, I'm amazed at how well you did the shading and lighting effects. THe colors are so good, real true to the original. Love it.

JoshSummana responds:

Much appreciated :) im glad you like it. Trying to keep the super vibrant colours all those games had haha :)

Cool OC

Really cool OC, absolutely, but it doesn't appear to be a very refined piece.

For instanse, there is abrely any detail or texture to the piece, and the shading and lighting isn't very well done. I love the way you drew the character, and the sword is badass, but it isn't very detailed, and looks quite flat.

Could also have done with a background of sorts.

Cenaf responds:

I dont like to draw a lot of details, no idea why. The drawing was aimed to be "flat" or so.
Anyways thx.

Original

can't really say I've seen anything like this before. Maybe in Alice in Wonderland?

Either way. I like it. the creature looks freaky as hell, it's really well-drawn and complex. The attention to deail is quite astonishing. I especially love the shading you've done, and the texture you've added to the carcass.

Really cool stuff.

I like it when people call me bro.
